A Word From Our Head of Ogranizing Committee
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country known for Merak (transl. enjoyable surroundings, something to completely indulge and get lost in) and sevdalinka, with a rich history and diverse culture. Bosnia and Herzegovina's geography is unique; from modest access to the sea to the Olympic Mountains, Europe's last rainforest, and salt lakes, our small country has everything to offer and gives the impression of paradise.
We have met many people and developed a lot of relationships through previous meetings, GAs, and other events, and we have seen the beauty of the IFMSA family. We have always wanted to organize EuRegMe, but this is the first time we have been encouraged to apply, and now we can't wait to show you what our country and BoHeMSA have to offer.
By hosting this event, we would like to demonstrate our desire to actively engage in the activities of the European region. EuRegMe, we believe, is an excellent opportunity for uniting European National Member Organizations where we must foster friendships, build capacity, and create a safe space for all of our differences, allowing us to empower each other for the benefit of our region and the IFMSA as a whole.
In 2023, BoHeMSA is celebrating its 30th birthday since its foundation and participation in IFMSA and we have never been stronger than now. We will work hard to ensure the finest possible conditions for the organization of this meeting. With great happiness, I wish you an amazing event - a result of one-year-long preparations and planning of our most prominent, hard-working, and kind members of our small BoHeMSA family.

EuRegMe 2023
A Word From Our BoHeMSA President
Having our country as the organizer of the biggest gathering of medical students in Europe has been something BoHeMSA is very proud of. For the past three years, our Association has worked very hard on building the infrastructure to support the process of organizing an event of this size. At this moment, BoHeMSA is at the top of the national, student-run NGO leaderboard in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we only hope to present that in April! Organizing EuRegMe 2023 will be the biggest milestone so far, and organizing team will work hard to accomplish the goals we have set for ourselves. It has been amazing seeing our young talent develop, and as president, I can only be proud of them all.
The organizing committee of EuRegMe 2023 has been working hard on making sure that the event is safe, environmentally sustainable, as well as technically well supported. The OC is also putting a lot of effort into making the event interesting, with a very unique Pre-EuRegMe in Mostar, as well as a very dynamic social program and activities. EuRegMe 2023 will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a cultural center of former Yugoslavia and a historical crossroad of culture and trade. In no other place in the world can you see the mix of oriental Ottoman, classical Austro-Hungarian, and authentic Bosnian architecture in the same area. Sarajevo and Mostar taste and smell different than anything in Europe, and visiting EuRegMe 2023 will be a great opportunity
to experience that. We see EuRegMe 2023 as a central European event. IFMSA General Assemblies define medical students as agents of positive change. Events like these elevate them and broaden their vision. It offers students the opportunity to meet other cultures, talk about the healthcare systems, tackle global health issues and ultimately exchange ideas with very bright minds from all over the world. By organizing EuRegMe, we hope to contribute to our common goal of achieving a better future for all.
